Green Goblin

The Legendary 'Green Goblin' Oak Aged Cider
yeps hurrays! the green goblin cider is back in stock at our cafe! a real big sell out and a popular favourite!
if you have not tried this before.. we say you're missing out on good stuff!
heh better come down fast to try it soon!
don't forget to try our other popular hits too! Brothers Toffee Apple, Brothers Festival Pear Cider, Beewyched Honey Ale, Duchy Organic Ale and many many more!

New Wychwood Beers!

hey you wychwood fans out there! we've a new wychwood beer at our cafe!
Goliath by Wychwood (4.2%)

yesh this beer probably got its name from the bible story david and goliath :)

Goliath has been brewed with the finest malt, hops and water creating an elegant citrus taste that is perfectly balanced by a strong crisp bitterness. this ale pours to a slightly hazy, reddish-orange colour with a decent sized, creamy head which retains quite well and deposits a respectable amount of lacing on the glass.

grab this now at our cafe before it runs out! *really limited in quantity!

Easter

When you think about Easter, you probably think of the Easter Bunny, coloured eggs and lots of candy.. but to Christians around the world it is much, much more. Easter is the most important day in the Christian calendar.
Easter day is the day Christians remember Jesus rising from the dead. After his brutal cruxifixion, a large stone was rolled over his tomb. But shortly after his death when followers went back to honour Jesus, the stone had mysteriously been moved and only the cloth that wrapped Jesus' body was laying there. As the story goes, Jesus' body was no longer in the tomb
and he had in fact risen from his death in order to save us all. An angel nearby this tomb told his followers of the miracle that had taken place.
The resurrection, as described in the Bible, means that at the very moment Jesus rose from the dead, was the very moment we would be given eternal life. Christians would now receive new life after death. The Easter holiday celebrates this belief.
May this Easter have a greater meaning to you as it is to us :)

The Meaning of Christmas

The Birth of Jesus Foretold
The angel went to Mary and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favoured! The Lord is with you. Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favour with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."
"How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?"
The angel answered, "the Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. For nothing is impossible with God."
The Birth of Jesus
When Joseph and Mary got to Bethlehem, there was no place for them to stay because the inn was already full. They ended up spending the night in a stable, a place where animals were kept. That night, Jesus was born. There was no crib, so they laid baby Jesus in a manger, a feeding trough for animals.
Wise Men Visit Jesus
The wise men from eastern countries saw a star in the sky that signaled the birth of a new king. They came to Judea, the region around Jerusalem and Bethlehem, to worship Jesus, the new King. The wise men continued on to Bethlehem and followed the star until it was directly above the house where Jesus was. They found Mary and Jesus in the house and knelt down to worship Him. They bought Jesus gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, some of the finest things in the ancient world. Frankincense was burned to make a sweet smell, and myrrh was an expensive perfume.

The Gift of Life
Christ came into the world on Christmas to save sinners by His death upon the Cross. This is according to the purpose and plan of God. So that the way be opened for all mankind to obtain a right relationship with God and ultimately...the gift of eternal life.
